Corn Roast 2007

Loveland Sweetheart Unit, Marine Corps League Auxiliary did an outstanding job once again in getting involved in the community and letting everyone know they are here to help.

  1. Corn Shucking Contest
First they took the challenge and entered the Corn Shucking contest. They had a ton of fun and the Loveland Chamber of Commerce knows they exist in the community.
See the pictures of the Corn Shucking here.
  2. Bed Race
For the past few years Debbie Pierson has been involved with getting an entry of Marines in the Bed Race at the Corn Roast Festival. This year was no exception.

Maybe next year the Loveland Detachment can join in these wonderful, fun community events.

Corn Roast Parade Both the Loveland Detachment and the Loveland Sweetheart Unit joined the Northern Colorado Detachment in the Parade. As usual the Marines were the Color Guard and lead the parade.

These are rather large files. The two renditions of the National Antem are almost 9MB and Gil's redition of the Marine Corps Hymn is 4MB. All are worth every kilobyte of download and require Windows Media Player. (The original files were over 100MB)
